I keep getting an error message below on all backup jobs running on a particular backup server:

W3073 Unable to logon as user. (USER=, EC=The parameter is incorrect.)

This happens at the start of each backup, yet the backup proceeds without problems. I have attempted to resubmit the jobs, and checked the credentials by modifying the job and browsing the remote systems drives, and they seem to be correct.

This is backing up remote systems using Netware agents.

Any ideas?

[auto] The dumber they think you are, the more surprised they'll be when you kill them!

The password you are using as your ARCserve system account has changed, check and re-enter it in ARCserve Server Admin and the message will go away.

vschumpy - we've had the same error for a while on our Brightstor db's (14 in all) we've tried what you suggested, but we're still getting the same error, our password hasn't changed, but we re-applied it all the same but we still get the error at the top of every job.
Any ideas?

You stopped and restarted the job engine after doing it right? Have you also maybe set the logon information in the actual service properties in control panel (which would override this anyway).

Are you sure it is the same message and not a DB related one instead?
