Hi,

I'm trying to do a restore from our SAN backups. It's a 5 tape backup, 748 Gb's, and I'm trying to restore a .mdb file. I keep getting this same error after the restore, the error is below, but the really weird thing is in the job status it'll say "finished" but the file will not be in location after the restore. There is a cleaning tape in the library, I cleaned both tape heads before the restore.

Error 3802

3802 Invalid file header signature. (SIG=signature)

Reason:

ASTASK has found an invalid file header signature.

Action:

There may be a problem in the connection between the storage device and the host adapter. The media may be damaged or the storage device heads may need cleaning.

I found another post and that user was experiencing the same problem as we are here, with no results.

I think we found a work around, instead of restoring the .mdb file I was trying to restore, I retored the entire contents of that folder to another location and xcopied the .mdb file over.
