Brightstor arcserve version 9 - Raid Option

Help !

I have installed the tape raid option but can't get it working. Each time I try a backup I get 'Please mount any media'. I am using a dell powervault 130 with 2 tape drives
and have installed the tape library option and also set up virtual libraries. there is a raid group set up in device manager but when I click on it no slots are available

did you assign slots when setting up the virtual library? at first i had problems configuring it too, but now it works ... if you mail me your e-mail address, i can send you the instructions i have (just screenprints) ... for arcserve the order in which you install is essential

I have set up 2 virtual libraries, allocating 15 slots to each drive but still no joy !

I think you problem is more in terms of the number of drives you are using. Each VLO requires one drive, which means right there you cannot have RAID in neither of the two VLOs.
Get rid of the VLO and you should be able to use the RAID option
