The files on a drive on my Compaq server running Windows/NT 4 got corrupted.
I performed an ArcServe restore from a previous backup tape. The restore took 15 hrs. The time taken to backup this drive is normally about 2 hrs.
So why did it take so long to do the restore?
This drive contains about 2 million image (TIF) files of about 1K in size.
Another important pt. to mention was that the % complete on the restore reached 99% after circa 4 hours. It took a further 11 hours to reach 100%. What was it doing during this period?
