Brightstor 6.x for Netware and Brightstor 9.x for Windows Tapes

I am running both subjet version but when I try to use a blank DLT tape erased from Brightstor WIndows to Brightstor Netware, it shows as blank and WP (write-protected). I found the following from CA site but it only partially explain my problem.
PROBLEM: ARCserve 6.x for NT DLT tapes show up as Write Protected in ARCserve for NetWare
RESOLUTION: This is because NT formats DLT tapes with a 64KB block size and NetWare does not support that block size. The tapes cannot be restored either. Use ARCserve for NT to restore these tapes.

Is there a possibility to re-use tapes from one version to another?
