Bright not see New Installed Library Slots

Hello,

I installed a new backup server windows 2003 R2 with a new library, but for some reason the server does not see all the slots in the library. The library is ADIC Scalar 24. I called ADIC and the tech sent two hrs on the phone with no result.

Did you check the library filter to see how it is set?

Start with upgrading BAB 11.5 to Sp3 and the latest device fix (11).Check the Device Configuration settings once again. Check the library filter within the preferences of the Device Manager as BETuser mentions.

Which slots are not seen ??

If the slots are setup as mail or import/export slots then they will not show up as data slots in the device window.

to verify
put the Tape Engine into Detail mode
stop start the Tape Engine
ck tape.log
search for library info
at that part it will list the # of slots
that info is obtained from the library
