My initial tests on using a database from an 9.x version of Brightstor with version 11.1 does nto work---can not see any details of the sessions? Have very large databases in the 9.x environment and do not want to merge. I am still using the same betrieve version 7.9x. SHould I be able to use this old databse with 11.1?

Also, can I move to the newer version betrieve 8.5? Still use my old databases or is there any conversion utility....?

I have not touched NetWare since the 3.x days but here is what a buddy of mine had to say.

He should be able to use the old database however, you cannot just copy the files from the old directory to the new one. Most likely he corrupted the database in the process. To do it successfully, he would have to reset the MKDE/LOG diretory and restart the server before loading arcserve in order to move the database properly.

Thank you Michael---I will try that.....been a nightmare with Arcserve so far....been in it since the 5.x days...about had it....
