hi all,
Can anyone, tell me the easiest way to configure bridging over two routers (3640 and 1750), i know i can get this information on the cisco site but i always prefer the stuff i get from here, it is usually more diverse and enlightening.

For transparent bridging use the following,

no ip routing
bridge-group 1 protocol ieee

int f0/0
bridge-group 1

int s0/0
bridge-group 1

You can add an Ip address for remote management, but its not needed for the bridging. If you have to route IP but bridge other protocols then enable IP routing.

What kind of traffic do you wish to bridge ?
There are 5 types of bridging you can use depending on your needs and traffic
