Hi All, found these forums on a web-search and registered hoping someone may be able to help me?
I have been running a wireless network from my main PC and its ADSL connection using ICS and a Cisco 350 Access Point for some time. Now, due to extra requirements I have upgraded to a draytek vigor 2600we router taking full control of the ADSL connection and sharing it via a built-in wireless base station - so far so good.
Now I need hard wired ethernet ports in another area of my home and was wanting to use the 350 as a bridge, plugging the ethernet port into a small hub to give me the ports I need.
Now first off does anyone know if this is possible? I Haven't got a definitive answer through cisco but early tests have shown the 350 AP not receiving anything via the wireless network and this is as far as I have got.
I have just upgraded the 350 AP to the latest firmware and have a few more ideas but am I wasting my time on this? Is the AP compatible in this set up and with a non-cisco access point? Any other ideas or shall I ebay the Cisco and buy something like the cheaper Linksys bridge?
thanks in advance for any help, Ian
