There are two distinct and separate networks, one at office1 and one at office2. My goal is to do Ethernet bridging between them using a standard IPsec VPN connection. Both offices have a public IP address. (And both addresses are on seperate subnets)
I bought two WRVS4400Ns. Identical twins, if you will. ;-)
As such, I setup office1 on 10.212.0.1 - 100 and office2 on 10.212.0.101 - 254. Both with the same /24 subnet mask.
My question: Is this wise? Do I need to run everything on the same subnet? I think so because quickbooks (Multiple user edition) will be running over it, as well as a Outlook-calendar sharing program and simple file sharing.
Thanks for any input! I've searched google and linksys websites for examples, but linksys (even though bought by cisco) still lacks good documentation and examples.
