The boss want her line on assistants phone so she can answer calls while she is not there. How do I put x12 on x27 so that it will ring simutanously for coverage? System using Auto Attemd. with direct extension dialing. ACS6.0 C01

If I just do the Feature 00 on x27 phone and add x12 on a blank button, will this do it?

Buy a different phone system I am afraid is the only option to get that working.
You can however put a cover button on the boss' phone to go to the assistant after (default 2) a certain number of rings and then go after that doesn't happen to VM. It will delay the voicemail from picking up by the cover number of rings.

So the closet I can get is either a Station Busy indicator on the phone of the assistant (but phone will not ring), or use a cover button. Correct?

How about setting the Coverage Rings for the Boss's extension to 1, and then using Call Cover from the Boss to the Assistant? Calls to the Boss's extension will ring once, then ring at the Assistant's extension (with a display to indicate that it is a coverage call), and if not answered, cover back to the Boss's voice mail.

#320-12-1 is Call Coverage Rings, and Feature 20-12-27 turns it on, Feature 20-12-12 turns it off.

You can put the Feature code on a button with lights on the Boss's phone, but you can also dial it manually at the Assistant's phone.

Thanks TTT, good option. I will present this.

Yes I see that. Thanks!

Thank you Joe also for helping!
Stars to both of you!
