Bridged Appearance ringing when set to no ring

IP500V2 6.1(20)

I have a customer that wants a bridged appearance of ext 501 on ext 512 but does not want ext 512 to ring when 501 is called they just want a visual alert. I have 3 bridged appearance buttons programmed on ext512 action data all set to "no ring". Under 512's user->telephony->multi-line options I have the following:

Individual coverage time-10
Ring delay-Default(5)
Coverage Ring-No Ring
Attention Ring-Abbreviated Ring
Ring line preference and idle line preference are both ticked

Yet 512 still rings immediately when 501 is called.
Any thoughts?

When you click on the button in manager what is set?
There you can set it for no ring, delayed ring or ring.

Is it actually the BA that is ringing, or the users extension? I think that was an issue: check out CQ40507. It was an issue in 6.0 and I think still in 6.1

As far as I know the bridged appearance issue in 6.0 was supposedly fixed in 6.1. As for your question on the BA ringing or the extension ringing I guess I don't exactly understand your question or how you would tell the difference, if the phone is ringing its ringing isnt it?

well, is it the bridged appearance that is actually ringing, or is there a call appearance ringing on the phone while the BA is ringing? I think that is what the issue CQ40507 talks about.

When I place the call to ext501 and view ext512 in SSA only the bridged appearance shows alerting.
