I know how to set up my DSL modem in bridge mode, but the problem is, I don't know how to test it on my WXP computer. I want to know how to test it without using a router or hub(so on a single PC). I appreciate any help.

In case it matters, this is a Castlenet AR502 DSL/Router

Connect directly with cable to the modem.
Set your machine to 'obtain an IP address automaticly."

Turn both on.

From your workstation Start, Run, CMD

ipconfig /all

Do you see a valid IP, Gateway and DNS address(es)?

If not, you are in Bridge mode.
