Bridge CS2 error

Hi,
I realise this isn't the right forum for this message but there's not one for bridge so I figured this was the closest.
My copy of bridge is acting up displaying a message periodically saying "...problem with the database and '[file name]' was not updated..." then it displays white boxes in place of certain icons.
I found this fix on knowedge base It explains the issue and a fix for it but i've had no luck and so was wondering if anyone else had any ideas how to fix. I've attempted reinstalling from disc and tried updating to 1.04 (latest) but this hasn't resolved anything.
If anyone has any ideas, i'm all ears.
