Greetings,

Need a solution, I have a number #5325 which is a hotline handled by 4 people, and that number #5325 is setup as station, and that station is added as bridge appearance to 4 other stations. So if someone dials #5325, it rings on all the 4 stations. Now customer A dialed #5325, one of the user has answered the call, during the same time customer B is dialing the same #5325 but call is not ringing it just hangs up and we hear a busy tone.

They are unable to handle simultaneous calls at one time. Is there a way to handle simultaneous calls ?

Hotline main requirement: It should ring on all the 4 users at same time and also everyone in the group should be able to join the already processed call.

Thank you

For each bridged appearance you define the button number of 5325, which indicates the call appearance button of 5325. Do you have more than one bridged appearance of 5325 on the other stations and is it set to the additional call appearances of 5325?

The stations monitoring 5325 might be set up as follows:
brdg-appr B:1 E:5325 R:r
brdg-appr B:2 E:5325 R:r
brdg-appr B:3 E:5325 R:r

1 way is to add multiple bridged appr like already stated. 2nd way is:

add cov ans next <-- add an answer group
add cov pa next <-- add a cover parh and make the 1st point cX where X = the answer group number

Remove the bridged appearance from all phones and add the new cover path to the "main number". Now callers to the "main number" will ring all 4 phones in the group simultaneously but once someone answers the call, it will disappear from the other 3 phones so they are available for additional calls.

I'll just add that you will need as many call-appearance buttons on 5325 as there are users that answer. If you have 4 users than you'll need 4 call-appearances (5 if you keep the last one reserved for outbound only). You will also need to assign all 4 bridged appearances to all user phones so they can each answer a call.

This is only necessary if you ever want 4 simultaneous calls answered. Without all the buttons you could have users unable to answer incoming calls.

I do agree with lopes1211 that coverage answer groups are a better way to provide a "mini" call center but your requirement to join an existing call seems to remove that option from consideration.
