Hey guys,
Well I own AutoCAD 2005. I have a building wall drawn in 2D and I want it to look like it has a real brick texture in color. I want the bricks to be in 1/4 inch scale and to show up on the drawing in color when I print it. Render command maybe? If so how can I do this?

Thanks,
whatchacallit

Hi whatchacallit,

Convert your areas you want to be brick into regions. Then using the RMAT command, select the button labeled materials library, select your brick pattern, and then apply the material. Now type in RENDER and change the render option to Photo Real, and press render.

You'll have to play with it a bit to get what you want but it should get you close.

To print it, you'll need to render it to a file, and then import the file as a raster image - again, you'll have to play with this a bit to figure out how to get exactly what you need!
