Brick Level Backup in Arcserve 2000

Hi,

I'm running Windows 2000 Adv server with Exchange 2000 Enterprise with Arcserve 2000 as the backup. I have all the latest service packs. I'm recieving the error message of e8604 Failed to start backup. EC=Remote procedure call failed. Please help.

HI,

THis happens because when the Backup Agent RPC server service is not running or has stopped due to some reason...

Recylce this service before the backup job starts or setup
a scheduled task to recylce the service before the start of backup...

Check the Backup agent RPC on the Exchange server .Stop and start it
