I am trying to bring up 4 isdn-bri circuits for voice in a g350. In the ch bri I can only enter 12 digits for the spid-vendor wants 14. There is little or no documentation on the Avaya website on how to administer a BRI so any help would be good

big picture please?

are you programming a switch to act in co mode (lt) to provide a line to an isdn terminal device (TE).

If so you can program a spid of any length. On the terminal enter the same digits.

No I am trying to use BRI circuits as CO trunks to a gateway. I only have the change BRI form to admininster the spid and cant get a 14 digit spid in there

Is this for NI-1/NI-2 or for DMS or 5ESS custom?

For NI-1/NI-2 it has to allow you to enter 14 digits or it won't work on 99% of lines out there.

On the other hand, DMS Custom frequently has 12 digit SPIDS and 5ESS Custom typically has 9 digit SPIDS.

Make sure the switch type is set correctly and see if the form changes.

Good luck.
