Hi guys,
I have a problem with of my clients running visual basic 6.0. The system (workstation) is a Dell Precision 670 with a windows p professional that has 3.2GHZ for its speed and RAM of 2GB and using two monitors.
According to what my client tells me, whenever he runs a large program using his VB 6.0 application, he start to experience a break in screen quality moving the opened windows from from scren to ther other.
Could you help suggestions on what could be the problem. It looks to be either a hardware or software problem. Though i have run update on the windows operating system and the visual basic 6.0 and would see what happens after some days.
Does anybody out there experienced the problem before? Please i would welcome suggestions and solution.

Thanks

My first suspect would be the video driver.

My second suspect would also be the video driver.

Can you define "break in screen quality" a little bit. If it's where the screen is actually changing resolution, then I'd go for the drivers. However if it's just a matter of the form not updating quickly then it may be a threading (or should I say lack thereof) issue.

Thanks guys for the response. It is the resolution that is breaking. Though i have updated the drivers for the PCI-Express Card and i have asked my client to run his VB programs in large volumes on the workstation for a certain period and see what happens.

Anymore suggestions and solution is still welcome.

Thanks

OK...then unless you're app is accessing the video card(highly doubtful) then it's a hardware problem.
