Hello,

I have created a report that has several columns and two groups: 1)Assignment Group and 2)Open Time of incidents by Month/Year. For ex.

Total Total Within SLO Percent Met SLO
assignment
06/07 138 114 82.61%
07/07
08/07
Group Total
assignment
06/07 1 1 100%
07/07
Group Total
Grand Total 139 115 82.73%

This report was not developed using a crosstab. I just used suppressed detail to count incidents in formulas placing the summaries in group footers for total, total within slo and percentage fields. I have now been tasked with giving a breakdown of the grand total (report footer section) by month for the multiple groups. Is there a way that I can do this aside from starting all over and developing the report using a crosstab? I would appreciate your thoughts and comments.

You could just add a crosstab to the report footer. What part do you anticipate trouble with? How are you currently determining "Total with SLO"? What version of CR are you using?

Hi lbass, thanks for the immediate response. I tried using a cross tab, but it seems to stack my columns vertically not horizontally. Could it be that I'm using fomulas to do the tally and not direct database fields? Perhaps it is my inexperience with crosstabs. "Total with SLO" is a count of those incidents based on a certain value kept in the database for met and missed SLO, so I'm using a simple if statment to calculate. I am using CR 10 with Oracle on the backend. Also, I thought about placing a subreport in the footer area, and just grouping it differently passing the assignment parameter values from the main report to the subreport, but was hoping to find a more efficient way to do this before using this resolve.

If you go to the customize style tab->summarized values, you can check "horizontal" and "show labels" to get the horizontal display.
