The company I work for may be acquiring a restaurant with an existing Breadcrumbs POS system. Has anybody worked with it before? All of our other restaurants are using Micros 3700 systems which have been pretty highly customized, so this is going to be a bit of a challenge.

Since it's a cloud based system I'm a little concerned about accessing data and editing reports. Is it possible to create your own reports, or at least customize existing reports? Can queries be run to export data? Also, is there any kind of local redundancy if you lose your internet connection?

If anyone has any feedback from a tech perspective I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks in advance.

I believe Breadcrumb offers lifetime support, 24/7 or at least that's what they tell folks and is on their page:

You pay monthly for it. I have heard it works but isn't fast enough to handle a busy bar or too many checks open at the same time. Compared to Micros for features and integration with other products, it's like a fancy calculator.
Some customer reviews on Merchant Maverick below the MM review don't look very promising. It isn't approved by the PCI council either. I would suggest though since you already have it, to give BC a call, find out how to get training and get your questions answered through them since it's included in the service contract.
