At present we are using brbackup to backup sap to disk then using netbackup to take it from disk to tape. I know there is an add-on for netbackup but at the moment we don't have it. Has anyone managed to intergrate netbackup & SAP in any other way?

Regards

We use Tivoli Storage Manager, but the concept is the same.
You need the NetBackup for SAP R/3 on (Database flavor)
Then you configure the initSID.utl file to configure how backint works (sessions, multiplexing etc).
Coofigure the initSID.sap to use backint and the utl file.

Then test the backup with sapdba.

The one thing is NetBackup for SAP R/3 agent is probably expensive.
