I bought a new pc, and thought it was a good idea to try a vpn to transfer files from old to new.
I messed with it all day yesterday, with no success.
I tried to build a connection, but can not get the old unit to accept a new network drive to reach the new one.
I have a netgear WGR 614v6 router, and both pc's are xp.
Can I get a VPN built to do that?
How do I do so, and where to I start?

Well for starters if all you need to do is transfer files make sure both pc's are on the same workgroup...like MSHOME or whatever you decide. By doing that then you can connect to either pc and copy files back and forth. VPN would ne be the solution you are looking for. If you have any other questions please ask.
