Hello,

I may well be asking a very stupid question.

I will soon be providing support for several International branch sites (G450/S8300LSP) hooked off the back of our main system (87**).

I have the basic's on how they hook up and how to use local trunks, dialplan etc.

They use a seperate 3 digits ext, rather than our 4 and due to many clashes we cannot expand them to 4.

How would I be able to admin the remote stations on ASA? Would I need the multi-site admin software.

i.e.
Local 'change station 1234'

Branch ' change ??????????? 234

I'm guessing that it will all become clear once the branch sites are connected.

Any info would be great, as I just want to get my head around the day to day admin centrally of remote branches with different dial-plans from day one.

Much appreciated and apologies if it is a dumb question

If your remote sites are LSP's then you do not do anything on those sites, everything is done from the main site. You access the main site and make the cahnges there for your remote sites. Then if your system is setup correctly, the lsp's should get updated with the changes. The only time the lsp's take over at your remote sites, is if you lose the network connection to the main server. Hope this helps
