Wonder if anyone knows of a way to read in many spreadsheets with standard data into one summary sheet?

I have a summary sheet which uses external file/sheet/cell references; problem is each cell requires F2 + F9 to open and read the cell content.

Is there anyway of doing this without using a macro?

Hi Penny,

I have to admit if I've ever needed to do something like this I usually convert over to Access but I know Excel has some data capabilities, as I have had to query Excel spreadsheets to import data into Access. You may try playing with MSQuery to see if you can produce the results you want, and then, back in Excel, click the MSQuery add-in and see if that gives you what you need.
