It looks like the last 3 bptm logs are kept on all servers.

My question is, even though the last three are the last three days, there modified times are current. Does Netbackup go back and write to a log it started at or something? I can't figure out why it choses a certain log.

For example, logs are

log.042207
log.042307
log.042407

So you would think it is writing to log.042407 which is today, but if you look at the modified date on the logs they are today's date. I am confused.

Any help?

Netbackup changes the log file at midnight.

But if a process is already running and writing to a log from the previous day it will continue to do so until terminated.

So if you have a back that runs for 3 days then all 3 will have a current time modified.
