I am creating a protocol based vlan on a 7 unit hybrid stack and am receiving an error that says "rcvlan PortMembers.999: inconsistent Value". The protocol is appletalk, the vlan id is 999 and it works properly on other stacks in the office but after a power hit this stack is giving me this problem. It connects to a Passport 8600 through MLT'd gig fibre connections. I can create the vlan and have it work on the stack but it cannot pass through the 8600 to the other stacks. The apple talk vlan runs through the network. When I try to join the two gig ports it gives me the error. I have done this on 4 other stacks without problems. Quick help much appreciated so I can leave on holidays this weekend.

Hello,

Sorry for this solution but try a 'Reset to Default' and reconfigure.

Greetings

I think that error message is displayed when you try to give a VLAN a number or bame that is already taken...maybe something from the old configuratipm...?
