Hi all!

Im admin on a MAN in Sweden, and Ive just put up a BPS2000 stack. The problem is that I keep loosing Unit 2 in the stack. Has anyone experienced any problems with stacking bps's? Any experience with this kind of stacks would be helpful. Im using a GBIC MDA in Únit 1, and if I cannot get the stack to work I have to order a new fiberconnection and that's pretty expensive. anyone?

-Cheers, Niklas

I have not stacked BPS2000's but when stacking BS450s one needs to make the firmware versions the same before stacking some times, I would be sure both (all) BPSs have the same SW FW and ISVN numbers on boot up. hope that helps

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Hi!

Yeah, they have the same fw and sw.
But I think Ive found the problem
It seems that when dealing with a BPS-stack and using a GBIC, you can only have 16 uplink ports within the stack.
Today I was thinking that I try to loose the GBIC, and just use a 100 fiberlink instead, and see if the problem goes away!

-Cheers, Niklas
