I need to recover a NetBackup catalog tape {created on a Unix system} using NetBackup for NT.

I'm having issues accomplishing this.

1) Is this even possible?
2) If so, how to accomplish this?

Thank you very much in advance.

Why would you want to recover it on NT? It can be done, but with a lot of pain. The first thing yopu must realize is the directory structure for Unix-based systems is different than W2K (/usr/openv/netbackup/db vs x:\install-path\netbackup\db). Second any data written in binary (compressed catalog entries)will not be compatible. Thus, as you can see fromt this, there is going tobe considerable work on your part. You could try importing the catalog (assuming you don't want to use the same name on the intel box as the unix box) and then this also opens a whole new can of worms.

IMHO: recover your catalog on a like machine (Windows to Windows and Unix to Unix)
