bpmedialist hanging?

When trying to execute the bpmedialist command, it just hangs and doesn't return...I'm running NB 4.5 FP3, Solaris 8, SUN 280R server. What am I missing? Thanks for the assist!

how are you running the command? bpmedialist ? Are you root? Are you doing it from the master server?

I am runnning the command bpmedialist > /tmp/t (t being a generic filename) as "root" and running from the Master Server (which is in a clustered pair, running VCS 3.5)
