Hallo Guys

Need some help as I am struggling with the string I have to create in option 43 on the Networks DHCP server.

Does the file have to be in HEX or ASCii?

How does the files format look like?

How do I indicate the start and end of a specific info
eg. Ericsson IPhones
11:45:72:69:ect

Does it have to be in this format or do you only enter the "digits" eg. 11457269 how does the string know where new info starts eg. the I.P address of the I.P card and where does the info start for the vlan I.D.?

Could anyone please give me a functional example and indicate what each part means??

Thanks Guys

Thanks for the reply!

I need to know what the format is that I would need to capture when using a NT based server with DHCP on it so that I can point the Network DHCP server in the correct direction when identifying an Ericsson IPhone.

I know it starts with 1145 ect but how do I insert this info into the DHCP server.

Do I need to insert the info in one continues string without any start end caractors or do I split the fields with a : or a . or a , character. Thus would it look like this 11453e3f.(and then the I.P. cards address)3e 32 11 9f.(and then the vlan ID). or how is this string STRUCTURED.

THANKS
Frankie
