Hi,

I have been assigned the task of integrating BP-250 to Cisco 2821 using ISDN PRI. I have no knowledge of BP-250 someone is doing the configuration on it and I am doing the configuration on Cisco. Outgoing calls from BP-250 to Cisco work fine. But incoming calls from Cisco side to BP-250 get unassigned/unallocated error when I see the debug on the Cisco. The called number is 916987000 and the extension on the BP-250 is 2152. I told the Ericsson guy that he needs to do DID number translation to receive the call. Can you please assist me by providing steps to configure such translation on BP-250?

best regards,

Atchedaw

One possible solution:
when you send 916987000-2152 the BP has to cut the first 9 digits to get the station number 2152.
You can cut the digits in command 1925-1929, it depends on which type of number you send into the BP.
1925:unknwon
1926:international
1927:national
1928:network
1929:local

Thank you for the response.

Let me clear something. The DID pilot assigned for the PBX is 916987000 and that is what I dialled from the cisco side. The BP-250 technician setup one phone with extension 2152. What I want to achieve is when I dial 916987000, the BP-250 should receive that call, make the translation to 2152 and route the call to the phone.

thanks in advance

It is more interesting for the BP side to know what you send than what you dial.
When you send 916987000-2152, you can use my solution.

Hi sir, let me give detail information

service provider --->ISDN PRI--->Cisco 2821--->ISDN PRI QSIG --->BP-250--->Phone ext 2152

Service provider has assigned the pilot number 961987000 and it reaches the Cisco it is then routed to the BP-250. I am calling from mobile phone the number 961987000 and I want it to ring on the extension 2152 on BP-250. I am not dialling 961987000-2152. In this case I see q931 debug output on the cisco 2821 saying the call disconnected due to unallocated/unassigned number from PBX side. But if I connect analog phone on the FXS port on the Cisco 2821 it works. I have checked Cisco config and it is correct. I am sure there needs to be number translation or digit manipulation on the BP-250 side. Please assist me to get this right.

thanks in advance

can you post an outgoing setup from Cisco to BP?

The first part is when Cisco receive the call from Provider and the second part is the setup from Cisco to BP.

thanks in advance

I think the provider and CISCO sends just 916987000 but where is the station
number 2152?

The station number 2152 is assigned on the BP for one test phone. How can we translate the incoming DID (916987000) to the station 2152. I am not familiar with BP and need guidance on this.

thanks in advance

you could route the 916987000 to 2152 via DDI translation table (cmd 2260) but I am not sure if
this is what you need.
Isn´t this a DDI installation where several station numbers should be routed to the BP?
Is it just station 2152?

Hi,

The 2152 is for test. We will do the DDI installation where several station numbers should be routed to the BP phase after successful test. How to do route the 916987000 to 2152 via DDI translation table (cmd 2260)? please show me step by step. And also for the DDI installation where several station numbers should be routed to the BP part.

Thanks in advance

-in BMS search for cmd 2260
-set DDI1 to 916987000
-set Internal Directory Number to 2152
-search for cmd 1804 and activate on all PRI trunks DDi table 1

Thanks,

I will try it tomorrow and will update you.

Thanks a lot xs650, it is working but I had to remove one digit since it seems the DDI table takes max 8. Now how to configure the DDI for the whole list. The service provider assigned 961987xxx and I forward last three digits from router to BP. The extensions in BP are 2xxx. Do I configure prefix 2 on the trunk in BP or I have to configure DDI translation table? Also for outgoing calls how to send the full DID number as calling number? I can manipulate on the cisco router but if it is possible on the BP it is better.

thanks in advance.

When I understand it right you want to send 961987xxx, where xxx is 000-999 and
the station in BP use 2000-2999, right?

Then you can set 2 as predigit in CMD1802 and cut 6 digits in cmd 1927 (when you still
send with TON national).

For outgoing calls you can set the subscriber number in CMD220 and in CMD 2224 the type of number.
BP will send the content of cmd2220 plus the station number then.
