BOXI Infoview instance time not sorting properly

Currently have a boxi server where the report history instance time is not sorted properly. it will start out running a few datys beiong correct, then it will jump a few months back, then jump back to where it left off. Any ideas why this is ?

Are you sure you don't have it sorted by some other column other than the date?

Yes, I am sure the correct column is selected.
