Having problems removing boxes from website addresses within body copy. The text is an imported word doc.

Try removing them in Word first.

Also try exporting RTF from Word and place the RTF file in InDesign.

Why is everyone in this forum responding to me as picklefish?

Word docs always drive me batty. You're probably going to change all the formatting anyway, so I just get rid of as much as possible in advance. If they're short I just save the thing as .txt, open that, and copy it into the ID doc.

If they're long, I save them as .txt and make an ID doc with empty text frames and a paragraph style and place the .txt doc into that.

I have tried to tell the person who sends me the word docs to sent them in ord text no tabs etc... but he seems to think he's helping in some way.

I'll try what you've mentioned

thanks jmgalvin
