Bounding Box issues

Sometimes when I'm working, I can no longer scale or stretch using the bounding box points I can move my mouse to the points but the cursor doesn't change to double arrow. I have to restart ai10 to fix it.

Bug? Or am I hitting a key by accident?

Thanks but no I checked that. The bbox is on and is viewable. Only difference is that the cursor doesn't change to ? double arrow when I move it over the bbox control points. Happens at random.

That's what view/hide bounding box does. It toggles the selection tools effect on the bounding box from being able to free transfrom it to just moving it.

I see what you are saying but...

When the bounding box is on, 8 white boxed points appear around the object. Those boxes are on but I cannot drag/stretch them.
It happens after a while of AI usage, running an action, convert to compound, network file saves, ect. Im sure its a bug, memory issue or bad install.
