Hello,

I am making a series of data access pages in Access, which I am having trouble creating bound hyperlinks to some of my data in the tables I have created in Access.

I want to create bound hyperlinks to file paths, that will retrieve files from a shared drive rather than pull up an internet address. When I put a file path as text in the table field, the bound hyperlink doesn't work, when I put an internet address, it does work.

Is there a way to make a bound hyperlink in a data access page link to a file rather than an internet address?

If anyone knows how to do this, I would greatly appreciate your response.

Thanks

Matt

You're trying to show a file as a web page? Conceptually, I don't know if the Internet Explorer environment allows you to do that. DAP's are web pages, so you'd hyperlink to another web page. Did you try using the UNC (\\servername\sharename\filename) of the file? Still to me, it shouldn't work because you're dealing with web pages.
