I currently have several internal mail servers I currently act as a spam filtering gateway with Postfix. Recently, one of the admins for one of the relay domains said people weren't getting an NDR if they mistakenly typed the wrong recipient name. I thought the mail server would send a bounce to the sender if the relay domain's mail server wouldn't accept the message becuase of an unknown recipient. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make sure a bounce will go back to the sender in such an instance, but I really don't want to get into the situation of having to keep a local list of all the mailboxes of each internal mail server in order for this to happen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
