Bought a used aloha system, need help to get it to a workable state.

I recently purchased a 3 terminal system from a restaurant liquidation store. It appears they are running version 5.3.28e SR-2. I can get what seems to be the master to the screen with the floating logo, then a dialog box pops up with "Processing End of Day...Please Wait" sits there for 3-4 minutes then reboots. The other terminals say something like waiting for end of day to complete. They all get stuck in this rebooting loop.

What can I do?

Anyone have any ideas?

Is it possible to run them individually as a stand alone terminal? I would have to configure the menu items and such to my own bar.

Also, I may want to set up a back office computer, as they did not come with one. What steps are needed to get that accomplished?

You are going to need a fileserver with Aloha Manager and Aloha EDC to process credit cards. Also in order to build a fileserver and for Aloha to run at all you need the hasp key its either a brick that plugs into an LPT Port or what looks like a small flash drive with out that Aloha will not function at all. You are also going to need the aloha install cds. If you have the hasp key E-Mail me I might be able to help you get a fileserver or build one for you.

The date of business needs to get caught up with the system date. You can do it manually through Aloha Manager in the systems area, or in the .ini file. Otherwise, if it has been off for 3 months it is going to run 3 months of EODs which will all just be empty data.
