Word 2007.

I have applied a 3-point solid line border to all four sides of my page. In Print Layout view the border appears correctly on all four sides.

However, the bottom border disappears in Print Preview and does not print on the hard copy. Left, right and top borders are correct.

I have experimented with increasing and decreasing the bottom margin, to no avail. I have also changed the "measure from edge of page" from 24 point to 31 point. Again, no luck. I have also added the four sides manually as well as with the "all sides" button - it makes no difference.

Any ideas on why the bottom border doesn't print or appear in print preview?

Thanks,
GS

Try File > Page Setup, see if you have the wrong sort of paper defined. Increase the margins till it does print.

This is based on Word 2002 but should work.

Thank you both for your replies.

Lilliabeth, the KB article had the solution. The trick was to measure the border from the text. The default is measured from the edge of the paper, which HP printers like mine do not handle correctly.

Thanks you again!
