I was wondering what everyone's take was on the security infrastructure for Boston and the marathon. We know that IBM was there testing new equipment specifically on the Boston Marathon but I'm really intrigued as to what security standards were set in place through cameras, video surveillance and facial recognition. I do believe that the public had a major part in the capture/arrest but what do you think went on behind the scenes of the police and standard surveillance? I remember seeing a report that facial recognition wasn't used to capture the perpetrators but could it be possible that isn't entirely true?
