Client stated on old 2400 they could press a key to see what caller ID their boss was on the phone with and then they could determine whether or not to interrupt....does anyone know how this might work on a 9300 ?
On the 9300, Boss/Secretary, A secretary with a Multiline Terminal can use an appearance of the boss' extension to screen calls for that extension, and announce and/or transfer calls to that extension. Additionally, the secretary can call the boss during
a busy condition and can send a Message Waiting Indication to the boss' station.
Caller ID, Without answering incoming calls or held calls that terminate to the line keys of a Multiline Terminal, the calling
party’s information can be confirmed by the indications on the LCD.
Once the call is answered by another extension, you cannot see it from your extension.
? Is this a 9300, or a 2400 upgraded to a 9500?
Hey just chiming in here because we have the same issue and its possible Anthony is helping us out. We have an sv9300 and it may not necessarily be a boss/secretary feature although thats how it was described. Imagine if four HR reps each had their own main line and then each of the other 3 reps main lines as sub lines on their phones. They could press any in use sub line on their phone and see who they were on the line with. One rep mentioned that if she hit that sub line again, the word CON would pop up. Maybe it was a conference or monitoring feature that they were using but unaware of the extent of the feature? Driving us crazy.
