..I've been able to find pdfs on this program made by nortel. And the briefs seem to imply that it is a free utility but I'm unable to find it anywhere on the nortel website...

Nor can I find it anywhere else on the internet using search engines.. I was wondering if anyone here knew where I could grab it or get it to me somehow.. I'd like to check it out and see what it can offer....

..and as a side questions do you guys use any other manament software that can work with WAN environments as a whole and manage configs and telnet sessions... passwords... versions.. stuff like that...

tnx ahead of time!

I suppose it would be handy to know.. we use a Baystack distribution 5000 with a management card.. some 350 switches but the majority are 450 switches...

tnx again

As I understand BOSS, it is the firmware inside newer Nortel Switches, not an external program.

Java Device Manager a free software to manage at least the 450s remotely (there are two Baystack 350 products, mine are not supported, newer ones are supported. If your 350s look like 450s with no cascade, they are supported)

Optivity Switch manager is a commerical product for managing many 450s, there is a demo on Nortels site for it.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
