We have NOrtel Modular ICS 6.0, VM 4.0.

I have a user that didn't want her phone ringing while she was on the phone even though after 4 rings it would go to voice mail. She ideally wanted to have it go directly to voice mail if the call(s) came in on one of three specific outside lines.

I changed her settings for DND to Y. This changed it of course for all lines coming in and also internal calls. Now it beeps 3 times, flashes the name calling and goes directly to voice mail.

The 2 problems are now that when the BOSS calls and she is on the phone it goes diretly to Voice mail. OW!

Q: Is there a way to program so that only the three (outside) lines are affected for her - so that these go directly to voice mail ? and alternatively;

Q: A way to make sure the boss's call gets through and doesnt go to voice mail ??

a combination of the above two.
Thanks

Set her DND on busy to Yes
Set her Call Forward on busy to NONE

This way when she's on her phone the next incoming call will just flash on her phone but not ring. She has the option of picking up the call or blowing it off and letting it go to vmail. It's her choice.

Another thing you can do is give the BOSS a hotline. Assign the boss a back door line that is assigned to a ringer. That way when the BOSS calls it will ring the ringer and they'll KNOW that it's the BOSS.
