borders disappear when exporting CR XI to editable rtf

I need to export a CR XI report to editable rtf so that clients can edit the contents. However, when exported, the borders of boxes which was created in CR has disappeared. Is there anyway I can export the report and users can still see the borders as well as edit the contents?

Unfortunately, each of the export options available in Crystal has its own limitations and you've bumped into one of them. You could look at the Excel export (I don't remember whether borders appear with that or not) but that has it's own issues - in particular there tend to be a lot of merged cells if you don't use the "data only" export and data only won't get you any of the formatting.
