Borders and TalkBubbles

Is there anyway to keep the black border around the TalkBubble (custom shape tool) after it is placed?

I see the black border initially when I create the TalkBubble but after I flatten the image or move off that layer the black border disappears...

I am running Photoshop cs version 8.0

Any suggestions are appreciated

How about creating the bubble with a white (or whichever color you prefer) foreground, and then applying a black stroke (border) to the bubble via a layer style (bottom of the layers palette)?

Actually I just double clicked on the vector layer thumbnail and the style window opened and i just noticed the stroke... thanks for your assistance...
