Hopefully this tip will help others considering setting up BorderManager 3.5 on a seperate server.
I was setting up BorderManager 3.5 on one of my older servers. After bumping into numerous issues I called a local novell senior systems engineer to help me finish with the install.
After watching him bump into many problems of his own, he finally called Novell directly & explained the issues. After walking through each of the errors, he also discovered you CAN NOT split the BorderManager license between 2 seperate boxes/servers. It simple will not work. You can split the license on earlier versions of Netware (5.0 and previous) but 5.1 requires a seperate server license. Novell's customer service rep explained this is "new" with Netware 5.1 sbe.
So no matter how many 'other' errors we would have fixed, the "Policy Manager" / Licenses would have still been a problem.
