Iam running Novell Border Manager v3 on 4.11 server. USers are complaining (arent they always!) of slow access to job sites (we are a training company)when uploading CVs etc. I put this down to traffic at our ISP as it was greatly over subscribed however they have now upgraded to a much larger Internet link. I have disabled the connect through proxy option on a couple of the clients and put them straight out through the router. These systems do not experience problems. As soon as they are reconfigured to connect through the proxy server the problem reappears. Normal download through the proxy is fine - approx 60-70% of web traffic being served through cache. The problem only seems to be with sending data through the proxy. I have removed all filters in case it was a filter order problem but that has made no difference.

For obvious reasons I do not want to bypass the proxy on all student systems. Anyone came across similar problems or has any idea on a solution? Would be most welcome as I am all out of ideas!

It is listed via the modules as v2.5 I checked on the novell website and there did not seem to be any patches for border manager version 3.1 Is it a discontinued product now 3.5 and beyond is available. Will 3.5 patches still work?
