I have 2 questions. For the longest time I have been a web developer, my sites were very functional and very basic. Recently I have been moving into design mostly due to the requests from different people for web pages. Well I'm ready to move up another level on the design ladder.

1)What is the best way to make borders and curved kind of images? Kind of like the tabs at the top to the page or the image the creates the curves the on the very header bar. I know its probably easy.

2)What is the best way to splice up a big image to put on site.

Any help or link to a tutorial would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

For making curvy images and banners etc, use the pen tool I find that is the best tool for that kind of thing.

As for slicing up images, slice them into small chunks that aren't very big in pixel size and in file size and then use the save for web option.

Hope this helps!
