bootstrap and index write to a separate pool

How do I write the bootstrap and index information to a separate pool.
 
Step by step instructions in the admin guide under the heading Directing Client Indexes and Bootstrap to a Seperate Pool.

Can look in index under bootstrap->pools or go to the online doc at legato.com
 
Just create a new pool and as the only criteria use

save set index
bootstrap

 
How do I write the bootstrap and index information to a separate pool.

I seem to be dim at the moment... what is gained by doing this?
 
You just filter all save sets with the names "index" or
"bootstrap" to be written to a media that has been labeled
for this pool.
 
Index and boostraps are most of time splitted on several tapes so it could be nice to have all of them on a single tape for a faster restoration in case of disaster.

But in that case, one of the things to do is to protect that tape (by cloning) because if you loose it...
