An update to previous post.

I have an Enterprise 3500 that will not boot off the cdrom.
At OK prompt I entered:
OK> limit-ecache-size
(Without entering above command, boot cdrom just hangs forever)
then
OK> boot cdrom

Bad Magic number in disk label
Can't open disk label package
Can't open boot device

Any ideas? I am using the Solaris 10 CD1 for Sparc shipped from Sun.

Thanks!

Hi - sounds like the cd is not bootable for some reason, maybe it's because the Solaris 10 cd is actually a DVD and the drive in the server is only a cd drive (ie. it can't read DVD's). Worth checking.

Another thing to keep in mind is the software your using to burn the disk(s) Even with decent software like Nero ROM you may still need to burn a few before you get a bootable one.
Sounds weird but I've had to go through as many as 5 before I got one to boot. Not sure what it is but that's been my experience.
